FTP Client

FTP Client functionality:

  • Connect Connect button. To open FTP Connections dialog-box window click this button.
  • Disconnect Disconnect button. To disconnect any connection click this button.
  • Up Up button. Click this button to move one level up in the FTP tree folder.
  • Refresh Refresh button. Refreshes the FTP file list.
  • Download Download button. To download any file click this button.
  • Upload Upload button. To upload any file click this button.
  • Delete Delete button. Delete file(s) from the FTP file list.
  • Properties Properties button. Here you can see properties of any file or folder.
  • Large icons Large icons button. Switches to the 'Large Icons' view.
  • Small icons Small icons button. Switches to the 'Small Icons' view.
  • List List button. Switches to the 'List' view.
  • Details Details button. Switches to the 'Table' view.

Click this FTP Connections button to open FTP Connections:

FTP Connections

  • Profile Name edit-box:
    Here you should write a name of connection.
  • Host Address edit-box
    Here you should write an IP address of a FTP server (or a name of a FTP server).
  • Port edit-box
    Here you should write a number of a port of a FTP server.
  • Use PASV Mode check-box
    Passive mode. If you choose Use PASV Mode check-box an FTP session will be passing in passive mode. If not, then an FTP session will be passing in active mode.
  • Login edit-box
    Here you should type any login if it's required.
  • Anonymous check-box
    If a FTP server does not need any login you can choose Anonymous check-box (for example, you can write your e-mail here instead of the default word 'anonymous').
  • Password edit-box
    Here you should write a password if it's required to enter a FTP server.
  • Initial Path edit-box
    In an active session there will be a name of a specific folder on a FTP server.
  • Retries edit-box
    Number of connection attempts.
  • Retry Delay edit-box
    Time between connection attempts.
  • Download path edit-box
    Default folder for downloads.
  • Browse button
    To browse for files and folders. There you can choose a folder where to download any data.
  • Description edit-box
    Shows information about any selected file or folder (name, size, location etc).
  • Add button
    To add a new connection to the list of FTP connections.
  • Remove button
    To delete any connection.
  • Save button
    To save all the entered data to the FTP Connections edit box.
  • Connect button
    To connect to a FTP server.
  • Cancel button
    To cancel all the entered data in the FTP Connections edit box (without saving).
