Converter Module
To switch to Converter module of AV Video Morpher, click the Converter Tab on the Modules Tab Panel. Alternatively, you may click the Converter button on the Player bar.
Converter module offers the following possibilities:
- Converting DVD/SVCD/VCD into AVI.
- Converting among various video formats (avi, mpeg, wmv, etc.).
- Converting, using variable video and audio effects.

Main toolbar. Main toolbar has the following controls:
Open. Opens a new file (disk) to convert.
Open History. Opens the recent converting history.
Close. Closes the current file.
Preview. Opens the preview of the converting process.
Convert. Launches the converting process.
Stop. Stops the converting process.
Select combo-box. Allows choosing the source of converting (disk or file?).
Converter has two tabs: Input and Output panels.
Input panel. Input panel has the following sub-panes:
Area Selecting pane:
This pane is for selecting a specific screen area and scaling its size.
You may drag the marginal lines in Area to process section until you select the screen area you would like to process. Alternatively, you may adjust these parameters manually, by entering the numbers in the "Up corner" and "Down corner" edit boxes.
Title. Subtitles. Audio stream panes:
Allows selecting DVD (VCD, SVCD) title to convert.

Allows selecting available subtitles.

Allows selecting available languages (audio streams).
Duration Selecting pane:

This pane is for setting the video fragment length. To do it, Click on the leftmost (or rightmost) scale marker to make it active, and then drag the marker back and forth until you find the point that you would like to start processing from. Alternatively, you may adjust these parameters manually, by entering the numbers in the "Starting time" and "Ending time" edit boxes.
Note: Please, note, that the entire length of the scale stands for the full duration of the loaded video file. Thus, while dragging the leftmost marker, the image in Area to process section will be changing dynamically to correspond to the current position of the marker.
Output panel. Output panel has the following sub-panes:
Codecs pane:
Here you may select the required video codec (from ones that are installed in your system). The "Configure" button will help you set the selected codec's parameters (if available), such as bitrate, etc. Clicking on the "About" button will open the information about the selected codec. If you unselect the check-box, the video image will not be processed and the output file will miss the video stream.
Here you may select the required audio codec (from ones that are installed in your system). The "Configure" button will help you set the selected codec's parameters (if available), such as bitrate, etc. Clicking on the "About" button will open the information about the selected codec. If you unselect the check-box, the audio stream will not be processed and the output video file will be mute.
Note: Please, note, that some video and audio codecs are the third party and they are not supplied with AV Video Morpher.
Output file pane:

This pane allows to set the output file's name and location.
Output Size pane:

In "Output Size" edit boxes you may print Width and Height values or select the values from the percents combo-boxes.
Here you may also select the resample method you need in the "Resample method" combo-box.
"Resize type" combo-box will allow you to choose the resizing type. |
