Q What I should use to connect modem and sound card?

A Author does not know how to connect given modem and sound card. Also he does not know what cable to use. You should ask this question in your local computer store.

Q Do you plan to add answering machine mode to Modem Spy?

A It’s already done. You should use Notify remote party about recording option in order to specify your greeting message and enable answer a call in NNN seconds option.

Q Program appears to record/playback message, but I can’t hear it.

A Select another performance level at Preferences dialog box.

Q I can’t setup Super Spy mode.

A You should specify hotkey combination in order to setup Super Spy mode. Make sure you are holding Alt and/or Ctrl keys while choosing hotkey.

Q Instead of recording, program makes terrible sound.

A Upgrade the driver of your modem.

Q I can record incoming calls, but when I try to playback file over the phone, I get error message.

A Select File / Preferences menu item and Hardware tab. Click on Setup button and disable dial tone waiting before dialing. Also try to increase pause before recording (answer a call in NNN seconds option).

Q Modem Spy does not detect caller ID.

A Check out if you have caller ID service enabled by your Phone Company. Also, your modem must be compatible to caller ID system in your country.

Q But I have hardware Caller ID device and it works just fine!

A This means that your hardware Call Display is compatible to caller ID system in your country. And of cause it says nothing about your modem compatibility.
