Save and Export Pictures

Save and Reload a Project

Any time you open a new picture from file or import from scanner, Focus Photoeditor creates a new Project. It's important to understand that you can save and reload at any time a project. The advantages of doing this, instead of exporting a picture to a standard file format is that you can keep all your image and text layers, in order to edit them again.

To save a project select from main menu File>Save Focus Project and choose a destination for your project file. To load a project select Main menu>File>Load Focus Project.

Export a picture to File

Unlike the "Save project" command, when you choose "Save picture to file" you will export the picture to one of the most commonly supported graphic formats such as jpg, bmp, gif, png, etc.. The exported picture will have all layers merged with the background. To chose to save this way select from main menu: File > Save picture to file.

Since version 4.4 the default save dialog has changed into the standard windows dialog.

Save

You can access the save options by clicking on the "advanced" button:

Save

You can still use the old one by choosing from the Options menu > Save Dialog > Focus style

The old save window is represented below:

Save
