Resize, Crop or Rotate
Resize Dialog:
You can access the Resize Dialog by choosing from main menu either Edit>Resize Project or Edit>Resize Canvas
Resize for screen
If you are only interested to change the size of the picture on the screen then change the "New Width" and "New Height" values directly in pixels.
Resize for printing
If you need to change the size for printing, you can change the resolution in ppi (pixels per inch) or you can change the size in cm or other unit.
Note that if you need to increase the picture size for printing it's always advisable to change the size directly rather than decreasing resolution.
Resize a Project:

Resampling means changing the size of an image, by stretching pixel information on a smaller or bigger area. When you downsample (decrease the number of pixels), information is deleted from the image. When you resample up (increase the number of pixels), new pixels are added. You specify an interpolation method to determine how pixels are added or deleted.
There are different resample methods: A good one is the Lanczos (bicubic) that can be used for downsampling as well as upsampling (reducing and increasing size).
If you are not sure which method to use, you can check the "suggest best method" option.
Resize Canvas

Resizing canvas will just affect the background.
You can choose in which direction the canvas will be extended or cut by selecting one of the 5 direction buttons.
Center button means that canvas will be extended or cut in all four directions.
Other buttons are provided to change canvas in the Top-Left, Top-Right, Bottom-Left, Bottom-Right directions.
Crop:
In Focus Photoeditor you can crop pictures by selecting a rectangular region with the Work/Crop area tool and by selecting from main menu Edit>Crop to Work Area.
If you have layers, the current layer will be cropped and not the background. If you want to crop the background, first select it from the layers window before.
Rotate:
The most often used rotations are 90 degrees right or 90 degrees left; that's why they are easily accessible from the main menu>Process>Rotate 90° and from the top toolbar.
If you have layers, the currently selected layer will be rotated.
For rotations of custom angle take a look at the transform menu.
