Create Locker
Folder Lock can encrypt any number of files and folders very quickly using 256-AES on-the-fly encryption technology. To encrypt your data however, you’re required to create a Locker that can contain your data.
Lockers are simply encrypted storage files (having .flk extensions) and can contain any number of files and folders accessible through a password. Lockers are portable, transferable and undeletable on the computer Folder Lock is installed. You can take your Lockers anywhere you want and access them by using Folder Lock no matter where you are.
You can create as many lockers as you want with different passwords or you can let other users create their own Lockers. Lockers also contain a list of files and folders you lock so that each user can maintain their list of locked files and folders separately. Once opened, Lockers are mounted as a drive on your computer so that you can copy, paste, move, delete or perform any Windows operation as you do with any other Windows drive.
How to Create a Locker?
Click ‘New’ tab and choose the Locker path of your choice. By default all Lockers are created in ‘My Documents’ folder, however you can select any location for your Lockers through the browse button in the ‘Locker Path’ field above.
You can also choose a locker name of your choice for example: Secret.flk or Personal.flk. Once you’re done, you can set and confirm a password of your choice in the green area below. For security reasons, we suggest you to choose a password that is hard one to guess but easy for you to remember.

While you’re typing the password, you’d notice a security meter going from red to green denoting how secure your password is. A strong password with numbers, uppercase letters, lowercase letters and/or special characters significantly improves the password strength.
Once you’re done choosing a password, simply click the ‘OK’ button and add your private files and folders in it by clicking the ‘Add Files and Folders’ button. This will create a Locker, accessible with a password any time you need your files back.
Virtual Keyboard:
You can also use Virtual Keyboard to enter or set and confirm your password. It is recommended to use this option when no one is around and only you are looking at the computer screen. Using virtual keyboard to type your password greatly enhances security and prevents possible key-logging tools that might be running on your computer, from monitoring your keystrokes. Since no keystrokes will be pressed, you can be sure that the password you enter through Virtual Keyboard is safe from key-logging attempts. To access Virtual Keyboard, click the arrow button on the left side of Folder Lock.

Make sure you do NOT forget your password. Folder Lock's encryption is unbreakable, which means if you loose your password; you also loose data stored in it.
