Note: Only the administrator users of File Lock can change the advanced options or use the features in the "Advanced Options" dialog Box.
Show context menu in Windows Explorer:
Show a context menu in the Windows Explorer, then you can simply right-click at any file/folder and choose "File Lock" in the pop up menu to lock or hide the selected file or folder.
Show all locked items by default if logged in as administrator:
Automatically to check the "Show All Locked Items" menu item in the "View" menu when enter File Lock, if the logged in user is an administrator. Then all the locked items even made by other users will be shown in the list.
Set the locked item to be hidden by default when locking an item:
If you choose "Lock File...", "Lock Folder..." and "Lock Drive..." menu item under the "File" menu to lock an item, the item will be only locked by default. If you enabled this option, the item will also be hidden automatically. This option also affects the "Lock Item" dialog box when you clicking the "Lock" button on the tool bar of File Lock, it will automatically check the option "Hide this item" in the dialog box.
Don't show tray icon after minimized to system tray:
When you minimizing the main window of File Lock, the main window will be hidden, and File Lock will show an icon in the system tray bar to let you to access the functions of File Lock or restore the main window. If you enabled this option, then the File Lock will not show an icon in the system tray bar when it hiding the main window, the software will be invisible you can use the hotkey to restore its main window.
NOTICE: If you have not set a "switch invisible hotkey", please don't enable this option, otherwise you are not able to restore the main window because there will be no any icon in the system tray and no hotkey can let you restore the main window.
Automatically run File Lock after system booted:
Automatically run File Lock after computer booted. Please note this will not affect the protection provided by File Lock. the protection will always be enabled even you don't run the main program of File Lock.
Maintenance
Shortcut icons:
Click "Remove" button to remove all the shortcut icons and the program group in the Start Menu. This will then make the File Lock totally invisible to users, users will not know that there is File Lock installed if he didn't check the installation folder of the software.
Click "Create" button to re-create the shortcut icons of File Lock on the desktop and the Start Menu. After you clicked this button, it will pop up a dialog box "Create Shortcuts" to let you choose what icons you what it to create and where the icons will be placed to.
Uninstaller:
You can click the "Hide" button to hide the uninstaller of File Lock in the "Add/Remove Programs" window. Normally, users can uninstall the File Lock by launching the "Add/Remove Programs" icon in the "Control Panel". Clicking the "Hide" button will remove the "Uninstall File Lock" from the list of the "Add/Remove Programs" window.
Click "Show" button to show the "Uninstall File Lock" in the list of "Add/Remove Programs" window again.
You can also click the "Uninstall" button to launch the uninstaller to uninstall File Lock.
