Audio Grabber

• Place a CD in to the CD drive and click on 'CD Audio Grabber' to open the window below.
• All tracks will show on the left with track time information on the right.
• If you are connected to the internet click on 'Get Info' info on the CD from the free CDDB service.
• The track numbers will change to show the track titles.
• If album cover artwork is found this will appear a little later.
• The album artwork service may be off line at certain times and can take some time to appear.
• Click 'Select All' to mark all tracks for conversion or click on the box next to each track to select individually.
• You can change the folder for your converted files before extracting the tracks by clicking on 'Change Folder'
• If you have CD information from the CDDB service, clicking on create a new folder will automatically suggest the album title for the new folder name.
• If required, album cover artwork can be added to MP3, WMA, M4A and MP4 files. This option can be disabled from 'Setup'.

Click 'Extract Audio' to open the window below.

• If you have used CDDB then ID info will be automatic, or you can enter ID information manually before extracting the tracks.
• Once all tracks have been extracted, the window will close and the extracted WAV files will be added to the conversion queue and conversion to the selected format will begin.

Album cover artwork

• If album cover artwork is retrieved it can be automatically added to each MP3 or WMA file when ripping.
• The artwork can be automatically resized to reduce file size. Change the resizing parameters from Setup.
• After retrieving CDDB info, if album cover artwork is not found, click Find Cover to search using track titles.

File naming

• If album information is available you can choose how the converted files will be named.
• If using a database for your files, placing the track number at the start will effect the ordering of the database so it may be better to place the track number at the end.
• You can also add the album title and artist title to the file name.

Filters

• Normalise
  Equalises the volume on each track before converting.
  Normalise value can be adjusted (in percent) from Setup.
• Amplify
  Increases the volume of each track before converting. Useful for older CD's with reduced volume.
  Amplify value can be adjusted (in percent) from Setup.
• Fade In / Out
  Fades the song in at the start and out at the end.
  Fade values can be adjusted (in seconds) from Setup.
• Crop Start / End
  Removes silence from start and end of the audio file.
  

ID3 Information

• MP3 ID3 information now has 2 versions.
• Version 1 can only store information of 30 characters long per field.
• Version 2 can store far more information of virtually any length.
• Both ID3 version 1 and version 2 information will be added to the file. This ensures all players can read track info.
